Multiple projects are available immediately for an outstanding candidate, (MD, Ph.D. or equivalent) to conduct NIH-funded skin immunology research on basic and translational aspects of the response of Skin mast cells to commensal bacteria and viruses in the Dermatology Research program and Department of Dermatology, University of California, San Diego.
The position requires experience in cell culture, with expertise in cellular and molecular biology; bioinformatics and animal model systems experience is desirable. Investigations will focus on the interactions of mast cells, keratinocytes, and fibroblasts in TLR signaling and inflammation response versus tolerance in models of skin diseases.
One position is available. Candidates should have excellent written and verbal English ability, being able to work independently and have a strong track record of accomplishment and productivity.
