A post-doctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Microbiology, Biochemistry and Immunology at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Atlanta, GA in the field of Chlamydia immunobiology. The lab research focuses on studies involving innate and adaptive immune responses to Chlamydia spp., and the mechanism and modulation of immune induction.

The potential candidates should be highly motivated and should have a PhD degree in one of the following fields: Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.

The applicants should have a strong background in Immunology, Microbiology and Biochemistry, and demonstrable experience using flow cytometry, modern microbiological, biochemical, molecular biology and cell culture techniques as well as animal models.

Previous experience working with BSL2 pathogens is highly desirable.
